What exactly is included in the $6/day rate?
The radio itself, the POC LTE SIM and data plan, encryption, 24/7 network access across Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, and unlimited push-to-talk minutes within your private talk group. Battery cycling and firmware updates are included. Shipping is included on the outbound leg; return shipping is included with prepaid UPS labels we send at contract end.
What isn't included?
Accessories beyond the base radio unit — extra batteries, multi-unit chargers, remote speaker microphones, surveillance earpieces, chest harnesses — are priced separately. We'll quote those with your order. Physical damage beyond normal wear is also not included; see the rental contract for specifics.
Why a 30-day minimum?
Shipping, programming, and support overhead don't scale down well below a month. We've tried shorter rentals at higher daily rates; the math never works for either side. If you need radios for less than 30 days, call us — we may be able to partner you with a short-term rental provider we trust.
Why a 6-radio minimum?
Most of our cost is in the programming, coordination, and support of a talk group — not the hardware itself. Six is the smallest group size where the economics work for us to offer dedicated service rather than treating you like a consumer rental.
Is the deposit actually refundable?
Yes. $100 per radio, returned in full at the end of your contract when the radios come back in normal working condition. Physical damage beyond normal wear is deducted from the deposit — we show you the repair invoice first before any deduction.
What about Florida sales tax?
Rental transactions are taxed differently from outright purchase in Florida. Before we publish any specific tax treatment claim on this site, we're having our CPA verify the exact language. In the meantime, verify with your own CPA how the transaction will be treated on your books.
